JOBA

Privacy Policy

JOBA application (jobaforms.com). Last updated: November 1, 2026.

JOBA is in beta. During beta, please use made-up (synthetic) test cases only. Do not enter real patient information unless JOBA has confirmed to you in writing that you may.

This policy explains how JOBA handles information in the JOBA application. JOBA is operated by Dr. Babajide Awobamise in Alberta, Canada. The JOBA marketing website has its own privacy policy.

What JOBA does

JOBA helps physicians complete medical forms. JOBA uses artificial intelligence (AI) to draft answers from the notes, dictation and documents a physician provides. The physician reviews, edits and approves every answer and applies their own signature. AI drafts can contain errors.

Two kinds of information

Physician information. Your name, email, practice details, registration number, signature image, plan and billing status, and how you use the app (for example, how many forms you draft). JOBA handles this under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Patient information. Anything you enter about a patient: notes, dictation, uploaded documents, and the completed form. You, the physician, remain the custodian of this information under Alberta's Health Information Act (HIA). JOBA processes it only on your behalf, to draft and export your forms, and acts as your information manager.

How we use information

We do not sell information. We do not use identifiable patient information to train AI models. We may keep de-identified information (with names and identifying details removed), such as the type of form and the corrections physicians make, to improve JOBA.

Service providers and where data goes

JOBA uses these providers to run the app. Today, some of them store or process data in the United States as well as Canada. We are moving AI processing to Google Cloud in Montreal, Canada, and will update this policy when that is complete.

Information held outside Canada may be accessible to courts and authorities in that country under its laws.

How long we keep it

Security

Access to the app requires sign-in. Data is sent over encrypted connections. Clinical functions only work for signed-in users, and access to stored data is limited to what is needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure.

If something goes wrong

If a privacy breach affects your information or your patients' information, we will tell you promptly so you can meet your duties under the HIA, and we will notify regulators where the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or ask questions about this policy or our use of providers outside Canada. Patients who want to see or correct their information should contact their physician, who is the custodian.
